5 Reasons You Need a Trainer in 2022

"Ugh! Why does this always happen?
I start to exercise and eat right, only to end up quitting a few weeks later.
Oh well. Maybe this just isn't meant to be."
Be honest. Have you ever felt that way?
Have you ever said something similar? Or at least had the thought?
The good news is that makes you totally normal. Pursuing health and fitness is a journey. A difficult journey.
Yes, I said difficult. But I didn't say impossible.
Having a Personal Trainer guide you on your journey is a huge game changer for most people. So I put together a list of 5 Reasons to Hire a Personal Trainer:
1) Proper Form
Nothing is more frustrating and derails you faster than an injury. Besides, no one wants to get hurt. Because it hurts!! Ouch!
It's crucial that you use good form in the gym if you want to stay injury free and get the best results. A Personal Trainer has studied proper form. A Personal Trainer with experience has taught hundreds or even thousands of people how to use proper form. Despite your Momma telling you you're special (You are!), when it comes to proper form you aren't too different from anyone else. So if a Trainer can help hundreds of other people, they can help you too!
2) Accountability
What do all the highest performing athletes, business men and women, and all-around awesome people have in common?
Accountability.
No matter how good your results are on your own- they're going to be better when you have accountability. As humans we tend to slack, get complacent, and can sometimes be downright lazy!
When you have a scheduled appointment/class time with your trainer...you're WAY more likely to show up than if you just plan on going to the gym by yourself. And if you don't show up...they'll text you!
The simple fact of knowing someone cares about your reaching your goals is motivating. And knowing they're going to ask about how you're doing is enough for most people to stop being lazy and get to work!

3) Fast Results
Similar to accountability, no matter how good your results are on your own...they're going to be better with a Personal Trainer. A good Trainer has a lot of knowledge and experience. Which means when you tell them what you want to achieve, they'll know exactly what to do to ensure you're maximizing your results. This means everything you do in the gym has a purpose- getting results. It also means you aren't doing any unnecessary work.
Hiring a Trainer is especially important if you've been exercising and changing your diet for 2 months or more and you still haven't seen any changes. (And to be honest, you should be seeing changes every 2 weeks. That's what you can expect with a good Trainer.)
4) Don't Have to Think About Your Workouts
Ahh the busy person's dream- Not thinking about anything extra.
Look, I know you're busy. You have a packed calendar. Your brain is scattered. You're constantly thinking of the million things that need to be done at work, at home, at church, with friends, etc. You might have time for 3 workouts per week (Trust me...you do) but you sure don't have time to become a fitness expert.
This leaves you with 2 options.
You can go to the gym and do whatever you can come up with and HOPE it works. And hope you don't get injured.
OR
You can hire a Personal Trainer so they can make the workouts for you. You'll be safe and get amazing results all without having to think about it! Just show up and do the work.

5) Build a Relationship
To be honest this is the #1 reason I left school to become a Personal Trainer.
The only thing I'm more passionate about than Fitness is People.
I. Love. People.
Any good Trainer does.
I love the relationships I get to build with my Clients. I love to celebrate with them. I love to encourage them. I love to joke with them.
I love them!
They call us Personal Trainers for a reason. It's all about a personal relationship.
It's really rare that a business transaction is more than just that...a transaction. But having a Personal Trainer is one of those rare exceptions. Sure, a transaction takes place. But you also really get to know, like, trust, and care for each other.
And that's a great feeling!
