We want things now. Like right now. Actually we want them yesterday, but since that didn't happen... today will do. But tomorrow is unacceptable! When you want to transform your health and fitness but you have wrong expectations going into your journey, it's easy to fall prey to quick fixes and fad diets which will actually slow you down in the long-haul. Since we want to get results fast, we want so badly for the promises of quick fixes and fad diets to be true. And honestly, they often deliver what they say they'll deliver. Usually fast weight loss. The problem is, you don't know what you don't know. Or maybe you know what's going to happen but you don't care. Sure, you'll lose weight fast. BUT It could negatively impact your health. It could cause you to lose muscle. It could also cause you to regain all the weight you lost as soon as you finish the diet.
